Splodge-A-Mask and a Designs by Ryn Stamp

Hi everyone, I've made this card using the Splodge-a-Mask called 'Rectangles' and blended all the Adirondack Inks used here with my brayer and a SplodgeAway Mat... a superb bit of kit!

Just a quick word here on how the Mat works with a Brayer.
In the past, I would load my brayer with ink and then take off the excess on to some copy paper, used to use tons of paper!
Then, to avoid lines, I'd do a few 'wheelies' to remove the ink from the areas of the brayer I needed to be 'lighter' or ink free, on more copy paper.
Still with me?

Now, I load my Brayer leaving the ends of the roller ink free and brayer across my SplodgeAway Mat to take off the excess and to evenly distribute the colour.
The Mat is so smooth that the ink stays wet for a much longer time and this allows me to go back, over and over again to 'lift off' more ink, which in turn helps me get smooth, unlined blending on my work, with less effort and no waste of paper or ink.

Please DO NOT use baby wipes to clean your mat. I spray my Mat with water and wipe it with a cloth

Back to the card.
After taping the Mask down onto my card stock with masking tape and using some Adirondack Inks ( Citrus and Cranberry) I brayer across and over the mask, lift it off and then stamp the Designs By Ryn Kelp images, using various colours of Versafine Inks.
A few blobs of Liquid pearls, that's it .... job done!

Thanks for looking today and for leaving me such very kind comments. x

Shirley  and Miranda  both design for Ryn as well ... beautiful work on their blogs ... have a look x

Dylusions Stamps, Inks, Stencil and Craft Stamper Magazine

Hello again
If your name is Karen Buckle step away from your PC.... now!

This is a birthday card that I've made for Karen
and I don't want her to see it until next Sunday.
I just love this card and so I had to blog it!

It's a total copy from the card that
Linda Elbourne had published
in the August 2012 addition of
Craft Stamper Magazine.
I really enjoyed making it, so colourful
and ... I had the stamps already!
Dylusions Stamps
Dylusions Ink Sprays
Dylusions Stencil
 Great fun,
I do hope Karen likes it!
I decorated the inside of the card to match the front.
She may have seen the design, as she was sitting beside me at a crop yesterday when I started it!
I always post her card on my blog early.
She stands back in surprise and amazement
when she sees my efforts to please her.
Not sure if I'm the dopey one
or she is!
More crafting this afternoon
Thanks for popping back.

PanPastels and Two Clarity Stamps.

Yo ho bloggers. It's PanPastels Challenge time again.
This weeks theme is 'Make an Embellishment.
Pop over and enter. All good fun and you could win a  super prize.
If you win, our Sponsor, Your Creativity Store, will send you a trial pack of the PanPastels.
I love 'em!
This card was so easy to make. I used the Permanent Red and Diaryide Yellow Pans blended together for the background, so that gave me Orange as well.
I used a texture stamp and Versafine Onyx Black ink all around the edge of the card, mainly to COVER up the fact I had DROPPED the ink pad onto my work and that had left a really ugly mark.
I didn't fancy doing the background again. Can you spot it ? (top right corner!)

After stamping the Clarity Stamp Cherry Blossom Branch over the top I dabbed all the blossoms with a White Uni Posca Pen.
The sentiment is also a Clarity Stamp.
Black ink pad fell onto this area!
Thanks for stopping by today.
I will be posting again later ... If you get time, please tune in to Create and Craft TV at 3pm for the SplodgeAway show. Sky 671, on Freeview as well.
You may see some of my DT samples
Have a great Sunday
