Lavinia Stamps DVD and a Brayer.

Morning all.. just a quick post to blog a card I did a few weeks ago using Lavinia Stamps, Distress Inks,Versafine Inks and a Speedball soft rubber brayer.
I followed a tutorial from a Lavinia Stamps DVD that I bought years ago but have recently enjoyed watching again

So easy but I did CHANGE one thing. The DVD shows Tracey rolling her brayer up the Tree stamp so that she gets a reverse image she can then roll down and transfer onto her card stock.

This process takes some practice, so I stamped the Tree using the Distress Ink Black Soot onto some acetate, placed the acetate face down onto the card where I wanted the image to go, pressed down firmly to transfer the image.... bingo.. easier!

Guest Designer Spot for Crealies - Modern Patchwork Dies Number 3 and Crea-Nest-Lies XXL Dies

Hello everyone. I am so delighted to be asked to do another Guest Blog Post for Crealies.
My first card is my favourite and features the Crealies Modern Patchwork Die Number 3.

After cutting the shapes using 100% Cotton Watercolour Card, I positioned three of the larger sections together then stamped the flowers and sentiment images from a set called ''Flowers in the Breeze'' (Rubbernecker Stamps) using various colours of Distress Inks.I attached the Die-cut sections to the Die-Cut base of the card using sticky pads to give me height and dimension.

Card number Two was a bit messy and I enjoyed every moment!

The Dies used for this card are Crea-Nest-Lies XXL ( Five differed sizes layered up ) plus two larger dies from my stash to give me a large card base to layer them all on.
Sticky Back Canvas stuck onto some card stock and then cut using the dies, was the main substrate to work on and complete a background. Dylusion Paints, various colours, applied with my fingers. What a mess I got into but who cares, it was fun!
When the paint was dry I stamped with Black Archival ink using a selection of small stamps from the Crealies 'Bits and Pieces' Range I love'em!
Some doodles with a white pigment ink pen, three rings of white paint to highlight a few areas, along with a couple of gems ... job done !
