Sweet Poppy Stencil and some Watercolour Paints

Hi ya  Bloggers. I had such a good time playing with some new watercolour paints.
Splodging, dribbling and sloshing them all over a square of watercolour card, to create this background...Fun time, loved it !
All it needed then, was the beautiful Ornate Dragonfly from Sweet Poppy Stencils, along with 'Black Soot' Distress Ink and a black fine-line pen to highlight some of the splodges!  The word stamp 'Art' is from a set by Dylusions.  Rock'n roll it was 'good to go'! Job done.
Thanks for popping by my blog today ... back soon

Meet Polly from Sweet Poppy Stencils.

Yo ho everyone, I'm having a few Sweet Poppy Stencils days and lovin it!
Meet Polly the Parrot find him here.
This is how I created him using Translucent Paste and Micro beads  both available from Sweet Poppy Stencils.

I attached the stencil to some White Linen card stock and coloured the image through the stencil with Distress Inks.
Remove the stencil and dry the inks with a heat gun.
After cleaning the stencil I attached it back into place and taped it firmly down again with some lo tac tape.
Apply Translucent Paste  then very carefully remove the stencil and cover the image with clear Micro Beads.
Leave the card to dry overnight .... don't be tempted to touch!
Have fun.
I'll be back soon with more Sample projects from
Sweet Poppy Stencils
Thank you for looking today.

Watercolour Paints and a Penny Black Stamp.

Afternoon Bloggers... a very good friend of mine, Marianne, kindly bought this Penny Black Stamp called Delicate Florals and gave it to me as a gift...I was delighted and so happy, as I love this stamp and could not find it in the UK.
Marianne found a couple of them in the USA.

So... I got to work, made this card and will be sending it to her as a thank you.
The background is my very first 'effort' using watercolour paints. Its my spray, splash and plonk it all on look! ... not brilliant but I'll practice a bit more and maybe send Marianne another, decent card, in a few months!
Back soon... with a Parrot!
Thank you for looking at my Blog today
