"You shall have a fishy........when the boat comes in"
My fish is coloured using Coloursoft Pencils.
First some details about the My Creative Classroom. online course that I am still in the middle of!
Tomorrow (or Friday) I will post some pictures and information about the Copic colouring course that Karen and I attended last Sunday with LOTV Stamps
My tutor for the MCC online course is Glenda Waterworth from Chocolate Baroque
I am really enjoying this course and it's super value for money .... (about £18)
Each week, for the last five weeks, there have been detailed lessons in PDF format to download along with some digital images to practice on using all the different colouring mediums the course covers and lots of on-line videos to help us along.
Glenda is a super teacher and shows how to get great results using loads of different mediums, including, Dye Based and Distressed Inks, Coloured Pencils, Water Colouring Pencils and Paints etc and some Copic examples.
More than enough to keep me out of trouble for months!
My confidence has soared, my colouring is not perfect but it's much better than it was!
Glenda provides constant feedback on our 'effort's and is very encouraging and helpful .
Each set of 'lessons' is very detailed with a 'how to' for each project.
My fish, pictured above, is a digital image and it is coloured with ordinary colouring pencils.
We were shown how to blend and build up the colours to make the fish 'round, fat, and shiny'!
I reckon he looks okay but other projects like my spheres were not so easy and I uttered a few naughty words now and again!
Glenda came back with a few pointers regarding the shadows underneath them and I need a bit more practice to sort them out.
Huh! these were hard work !
My morning Glory was another download and I feel okay about the flowers but more work is necessary on the leaves ....they look too flat to me ...Check out Gina's Blog, she is a fellow student, Gina has coloured a beautiful Morning Glory !
I went on holiday for two weeks and I have lots of 'homework' still to do so I will post again when I have finished.
I hope this is of some interest to you. It feels very strange 'learning' how to 'colour in ' after all these years away from school/college but I suppose the old adage' you are NEVER too old to learn' is very true!
I am shouting out tonight for Jacki ..... please check out her blogs ( she has two!) This one is for her tutorials .... great stuff.
Finally .... I have a question... can you re post an earlier post ? If so how do you do it please ....
Thanks for popping by .... @ Vicki, a letter is on it's way to you :)
Have a good week everyone

My Brayer, a Lavinia Stamp, a Clarity Stamp plus some Nestabilities Shapes.
Lavinia Stamp on a brayered background along with a sentiment by Clarity Stamps
Another Lavinia Stamp with a Nestabilities Diamond.
As I mentioned in my last post I am attempting an on-line colouring course with My Creative Classroom.
My tutor is the super talented Glenda from Chocolate Baroque.
I am loving it and although I have been Stamping for a few years now, I am still learning loads and enjoying the whole experience.
I have a lot of 'home work' to do so my posts for a few days will be short and sweet !
I have used two Nestabilites Dies for these cards.
A Circle that I have cut twice to get the 'Cresent' shape and a Diamond.
Both die cuts are mounted onto the card with sticky pads to give a bit of dimension.
Plonk a bit of glitter and liquid pearls on and 'Bob's your uncle'!
Quick, easy and simple ! I will post again soon.
Have a great bank holiday and thanks for dropping by my blog.

Nestabilities Stars and a Digital image From Kenny 'K'
Hi everyone, from a very warm and sunny Romney Marsh in Kent. Ken and I along with 'the girls' and friends, Ian and Karen, are spending a few happy days down here over the Easter break.
We are staying on a small and very quiet campsite in our Caravans that are 'stuffed' with card making stash and all sorts of 'goodies to eat and drink!
I have taken some pictures to show you but as the site has NO Internet connection I am using my 'dongle' to upload to my blog and because of the time it is taking and the all the 'crashes' as it shows off and disconnects! I am losing the will to live with it, so I will upload more pictures when we get back home.
I cannot send emails either but I can RX them, so Anne, if you are reading this the Die Set you are after is a Marianne Creatables (leaves and a flower) and I purchased it from Crafts u Love.... sorry I cannot remember the correct name of it .... I will reply to your smashing comments when I return to the land of proper Internet coupling!
This card is for my grandson Matthew and I have used my Nestabilities Stars and A Kenny 'K' digi Image called 'Teen idol' Matt isn't a teenager yet but has THAT attitude if you know what I mean!
I have coloured it with Copic markers and used Polychromous Pencils to highlight the shaded areas. The sentiment is a 'freebie' from Ikki at her wonderful Cuttlebug Cupboard.
My 'trusty' Quickutz Dies have been employed again to cut some corners, I find these are great for more masculine cards and I have also used a Martha Stewart punch in the 'mix'!
I am spending today with my crafty mate Karen as our hubbies are clearing off to photograph some wildlife and we will be..... Mmmmmmmmm.... what shall we do? I know! make some cards and enjoy the sunshine!
I hope you are having a lovely time during Easter, take care, enjoy and thanks for popping by my blog.

A Crealies Template and New Marianne Creatables English Rose Die = A Royal Wedding Card!
Hello, just a quick post today to show you how I got on with my 'Royal Wedding Card' lol!
This is how I did it .....!

I dusted off my Cricut Expressions Machine and cut some circles to use with my Crealies Template.
( Link is here for Crealies Go to the 'Simple Shortcuts' page and it's called template no1.)
The circle sizes are..... 2 x Five and three quarter inches in white card stock for the base, 1 x Five and a half inches in red, 1 x Five inches in white and finally 1 x Four and half inches in pale blue.
You will also need to cut more circles to decorate the inside of your card if you wish.
There is a hinge included on the template to cut out, so you can join your base white card stock together.
Its all pretty straight forward. I used my Going Places Cartridge in my Cricut.
Hinge your white base card circles together at the top and stick the red circle to the white base.
Lay the smaller white circle and the pale blue circle onto your Template, (white onto 'A' and Blue onto 'B' and draw the straight lines ONLY making sure your circles are central on the template! (using the natural curve of the circles avoids any freehand circle cutting!)
I hope that all makes sense! I then used my guillotine to cut out the shapes on the straight lines.... Phew!Still with me?
I layered them onto the card (see my pictures) and plonked on a few paper roses!
My new English Rose Die from Marianne Creatables is so easy to use and I love the effect. Available from Craftsulove
There are two dies one small and one large, the small rose fits inside the larger rose.
A few brads and before you can say 'Westminster Abbey' job done!
I know Wills and Kate will adore this so I expect a piece of wedding cake will come winging my way to say thank you. lol!
This card is a very quick one once you have cut the circles out and the Crealies Template is so versatile, I use it a lot.
Thanks for looking today and I hope to see you again soon ....BTW I am thrilled to see some new followers from the USA ..... Hello and welcome, thanks for following me, all my followers are 'stars'!

I will be blog hopping over the rest of my weekend so no 'Shout Out' today but two next time, I promise.

Black Magic and Clarity Stamps ..... #2
Just added this one as well on Gold card!
Black and pink card-stock, a white PIGMENT Ink pad, a SOLID Image stamp.
I have used both sizes of the Clarity 'Leafy Swirls' stamp for this card.
( An out-line image stamp will give you nothing to colour in, you need the image to be solid 'White'.)
A heat gun because the ink MUST be dry, a few ordinary colouring pencils and finally a white gel pen.
Stamp the image with white ink onto the black card, dry with the heat gun.
Colour it with your pencils and 'highlight' what ever area you like with the white gel pen.
I also added a few 'dots' for extra 'interest'!
Some flowers and a hat pin or two and 'Ding Dong!' job done .... I think this would make a super quick Mother's Day card .... what say you?
Thanks for looking today I am thrilled not only to have my 100th follower, thanks Carolyn, but also Cally too! so its 101 woohoo!
I am 'shouting out' today for Jill's Causeway Crafts blog.
Please have a look at the most elegant cards that Jill makes ... super stuff!.
I will post my 'male' card when I can. I have lot's to do today and we are going shopping soon ... always 'good sport' when hubby is with me!
I am having some trouble with the 'male card so I need to do some 'amendments' to it !
See you soon
Thanks for popping by and also the great support I get when you leave me such lovely comments. I love 'em! X

Fleur De Lis Pendant and Shapeabilities Cross Collection
I have really enjoyed my day. A DVD that I had ordered called 'the social network' arrived with the post this morning'. All about the founders of facebook.
I watched the film while I was cutting out the shapes from my Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Pendant die. The die was a pain in the neck till I lightly sprayed some water on the card stock, it was hard to remove from the die until I remembered this trick!
I'm glad I had read the book first, 'The Accidental Billionaires' as this added to my enjoyment of the film, the book is full of details that the film has no time to explain and the screenplay is complex but fascinating.
Anyway..... back to this card!
The inspiration for this card came from this lady who has a super blog!
I made the card that Irina had originally posted on the Spellbinders FB page last year as a wedding card, re posting it here again. I made the card in cream.
My new cards could, I think, be used for Easter or maybe sympathy or confirmation cards depending on the colours you use.
I used brown and gold mirror card for the card shown here . I also made one in Silver and Black but I've had terrible trouble getting a good image to show you, so I have posted two of brown card and 'part' of the Silver and Black.lol!
I cut and embossed eight of the small square image that is part of the
Thanks for popping by today and I am 'shouting out' for this lovely blog from Lynn Beautiful work ...you will enjoy looking!
Enjoy the rest of your week. It's going to be a few days till I post again because I have a ton of ironing to do and my lovely husband is dropping hints along the lines of 'Where's my shirts!..... awww bless 'im !
