Tim Holtz 'Pediments' Die for ... Rudolph Day!

Ho ho ho bloggers... just a quickie to show you my entry for Sarn's Rudolph Day Challenge. Pop over and join in the fun.
My Tag is all things 'TIM'......... A #8 Tag, covered in some Metallic Tape that I pinched off a roll that hubby has in his office......don't ask!  Then I ran the Metallic covered Tag through my eBosser in a Sizzix Alterations Christmas Embossing folder.... lovely raised lettering!
Sloshed Alcohol inks over the whole project and finally distressed it with a distressing block 'thingy'!

I covered two of the 'Pediments' die cuts from the Tim Holtz 'Pediments Die' with more metallic tape and sloshed the alcohol inks over them too.

Finally, I attached one die cut to the top of the tag and one to the bottom .

Job done.
Back soon with a pretty card ........... made with Lavinia stamps.
Thank you for looking today

Sweet Poppy Stencils and .......Micro Beads!

Yo ho bloggers... been playing with Distress inks, a pot of Translucent Paste a Sweet Poppy Stencil and some clear Micro beads.
Loads of fun.
I positioned the stencil, stuck it down using lo tac masking tape and with Fired Brick and Barn Door distress inks I applied the ink to the image through the stencil with some blending foam.

I removed the stencil and dried the inks with a heat gun. After cleaning the stencil attach it back into place and tape it firmly down again.

I applied Translucent Paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils and after very carefully removing the stencil, covered the image with the clear Micro Beads.
Please leave to dry for several hours .... the paste will dry clear to reveal your super colours ... do not be tempted to touch!
Thanks for looking today .. back later with a tag and a brand new die, it's lush!

'That Special Touch of ...... Mask' Distress inks and More !

Hi ya bloggers... phew! what a brilliant weekend I've had.
F1 Grand Prix, The Allhallows Crop (made this card there) and my stepdaughter, Andrea, ran and finished the London Marathon!
We could not be there but we tracked her progress all the way on the net and we are so proud. She lost her mum to cancer last year and is raising funds, £5.500 so far, for the Weald of Kent Hospice who were and still are magnificent with total support during very dark days for her and the family.

Okay, this card was made using a 'That Special Touch of ...Mask' from Clevercut UK . I masked off bits of the mask and stuck it down with very lo tac masking tape. Then using Wild Honey, Crushed Olive and a touch of Fired Brick distress inks and foam pads, I coloured the image through the mask.

I removed the mask and dried the inks with a heat gun.  After cleaning the mask I attached it back into place and taped it firmly down again.
I applied Translucent Paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils  and after very carefully removing the mask, I covered the image with clear Micro Beads that are also available in a large pot from Sweet Poppy Stencils
I plonked the mask back into water and then waited WITHOUT TOUCHING for the paste medium to dry and go clear .. this took several hours for the colours to show as brightly as they do...... I was a good girl! Mat and layer on to card stock and I added a Rub On word.
I'm so pleased with the result I'm going to do some more.
Thank you for your visit to my blog today.

Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Peacock Feathers Distress Stains were used to create this Tag, along with a Dylusions circles mask and some white Dimensional Paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils.

The stamped images are the fabulous new 'Rain Drop Set  available from the lovely Ryn, then I added some 'sprinkles' of Fran-tage Shabby White EP here and there.
The Seam binding was coloured with Distress Stains after misting it with water and scrunching it up!

Thanks for looking today, have a good weekend.
F1 racing on the TV for me on Sunday and tomorrow will be great as I'm spending the day with lots of crafty friends at The Allhallows Crop.

Designs By Ryn. New....'Rising Bubbles' Stamp and more!

Just a quick post to show you some NEW stamps from Designs by Ryn.
The background of my first Tag was created by 'sloshing' on some Distress Inks and then heavily misting a ''That Special Touch Of ...... Mask' with water, laying the mask onto the tag and with some kitchen paper over the top, gently pressing it down into the tag.
The Mask I've used here is called 'Crackle'.
Lift off the mask then dry your project with a heat gun. It makes a cool background! Then I stamped my images, Rising Bubbles and Butterfly Fish, using Versafine black ink for the bubbles and Versamark ink and Gold EP for the fish.
Finally, I painted the fish with some distress Stains.
BTW ... please remember to use an anti static pad before you stamp with the Versamark or your EP will cling to your project in places you will not want it to cling!

The backgrounds on the two book-marks were created in the same manner and the flower is the very beautiful African Daisy.
I heat embossed with White EP on one book-mark and Gold EP on the other. Ryn has sent me a few new stunning, clever, stamps ... so keep looking over the next week or so for more samples.

All of the ladies that are part of Ryn's DT have super blogs, including Ryn herself, along with great skills. Look for the links to them on my side bar!
Thank you for looking today and a warm welcome to some new followers that have kindly joined my blog .... thank you for your interest.
