Shaz in Oz ...I've done it! In fact, I've done it ... Twice!

My crafty friend, Shaz, who has a super duper blog here, Shaz in Oz. Will be very pleased with me today!

Oh yes she will and so will Sheree  check out a super tutorial on her blog!

I am posting, not one, but TWO tags using some Stampscapes Stamps that I have had for yonks and never used !

About time too ! I've had some sort of block regarding these stamps ... I don't know why they are so gorgeous .

Not a brayer to be seen for these tags... just my wonderful PanPastels again, along with a few sponges to apply them with.

The suns were created using both the positive and negative circle die-cuts from my Nestabilities Circles.

Pop over and join in the PanPastel Challenge Blog  when you have a moment.

Apply the PanPastels to the tag keeping an eraser close by on your desk, cos its a total joy to be able to remove any 'mistakes' plus add 'lighter' highlights.

The eraser takes all the colour away that you don't' want.

I used the positive nestie circle as a mask, to cover the area where I wanted the sun to be and then completed the main part of my back ground.

Remove the positive mask and swap it for the negative die cut circle .

Lay this over your back ground where your sun is and colour the sun however you wish with your PanPastels.

Remove the mask and if you want to, add the 'Halo' effect by sweeping the eraser around the sun to remove some of the colour..... Rock 'n Roll !  SO EASY !

Stamp the Stampscapes Stamps.

Have another 'tart' around to tidy things up.

Using your eraser again, take a bit more colour off  the side of your sun to 'fake' some mist or clouds.

Oooooo getting arty now lol  !

When you are sure the ink from your image is DRY and you have finished adding more colour with the PanPastels, spray lightly with a hairspray to 'fix' the chalks!

Both sentiment stamps are from Clarity Stamps.

Is that Okay now Shaz ?

Thanks for popping by today.

See you soon.

BTW I have some new goodies arriving soon ... something NEW designed by Tracy Dutton at Lavinia Stamps!

Watch this Blog lol

Have a good week.

PanPastels, Marianne Creatables Leaves, Impressabilities Stencil and some Memory Box Dies on a Tim Holtz Tag.

Hello,
This tag is my DT example for this week's  PanPastel UK Challenge

Please take a look and have a go at this week's challenge called 'Glitter and Glitz'.

As you may be aware by now, I'm having great fun with my PanPastels because they are so rich and vibrant. I'm vibrant .... just wish I woz rich!

This is a grunge paper, Tim Holtz die cut tag, painted with a coat of gesso, then one coat of white acrylic paint.

When it was completely dry I placed a Spellbinders Impressabilities stencil over the tag and stencilled the design with Versafine ink.
I applied some blue PanPastel colour which highlighted the patten of the stencil giving me a very attractive background .

Metal flowers painted with alcohol inks
I used a 'cheap as chips'  hairspray to set the PanPastel colour.

The other diecuts are Leaves from Marianne Creatables, (I used PanPastels to colour these in green) a Butterfly and a Floral Wreath, both from the Memory Box range.

The metal flowers are from my crafty 'stash' and cos they looked a bit battered I painted them with acholol inks .

I love tags so I think I will make a few more!

Thanks for popping by my blog today and many, many thanks for the super comments you are leaving for me to read and enjoy!

See you soon.

PanPastels, Memory Box dies .... and My Spellbinders Butterflies again !

Hello, It's a bit wet here in North Kent so I am posting a bright tag to dispel the gloom!

After cutting the tag from a Tim Holtz Alteration Die, I stamped it with an Elusive Images Stamp inked up with Versamark Ink.

Then I used some of my new  PanPastels to colour both the background of the tag and all the butterflies.

After the tag was coloured I swiped a Versamark Pad over the entire area of the tag and covered  it completely in clear embossing powder and heated it with a heat gun.
The Flower Border and both the  large butterflies are Memory Box dies and the small butterflies are my favourites from Spellbinders Shapeabilities.
That's all today  see you soon and thank you for stopping by today ...

BTW have you entered the PanPastel Challenge yet? 'Anything Goes'   with any medium and you can WIN some PanPastels .... !

PanPastels and Lavinia Stamps..... First PanPastel Challenge!

Hello everyone
This card is the first one I've made as part of the PanPastel Design Team  for their Challenge Blog.

Please take a look because you can enter the new challenge that starts TODAY called 'Anything Goes!'

You don't need to use PanPastels to enter.... any medium you like!

I only have a few PanPastel colours at the moment but I'm investing in a lot more from Your Creativity Store as I just love using these products.

I'm learning all I can about them ( lots of videos on you-tube) such smooth, rich colour coverage. Or, as in the case of this card, loads of white added to give a more subtle effect.

So versatile

I'm well impressed!

Now.... you all know how much I use my brayer and Adirondack inks, well, I can do super quick backgrounds with the PanPastels (easier too!) then stamp my favourite stamps using the Adirondack inks and Versafine inks as they work in conjunction with lots of different mediums!

I started this card by blending the colours I have on some water colour paper.

Then I stamped the Wild Poppy Stamp from Lavinia Stamps, using Adirondack Pitch Black Ink.

My trusty Hougie Board gave me the scored lines I needed on the card base .... a few bits n bobs plus a sentiment stamp from Clarity Stamps .......      Job done!

Thanks for stopping by today ... see you again soon. I'm off to make another card for the next challenge!

PanPastels, Quickutz Jig-saw Die, Lavinia Stamp ...... and Val's gorgeous cards from Workshop 1.

Quickutz Revolution Jig-saw Die
Happy New Year everyone!

Now the festivities are over it's back to serious crafting .... rock 'n roll!
The new PanPastel Challenge starts on the 15th of January and because I'm part of the design team for 2012 they very kindly sent me some of their products to try out ( very generous they were too!)

Bright blended background from PanPastels
I 've had a super duper 'spangley' time!

I made a few cards with the PanPastels (can't show you them all until the challenge starts proper!) but this Jig- saw card was made within minutes of receiving  my goodies from them!

I just adore making backgrounds with my Brayer and Adirondack inks but using the PanPastels is quicker, speed of light! and SO much easier, with more control.

They allow you to achieve the most amazing blended results. They are going to be a firm favourite with me !  So watch this space!
Red and Yellow PanPastels and a sponge .... job done on the background, then stamped using various Versafine inks and a Nigela Damascena flower stamp from Lavinia Stamps .

I will be buying more colours from a huge range here Your Creativity Store.

My friend Sheila, is popping over tomorrow to spend a crafty day with me.

Sheila has trouble using a brayer and after 'clocking' the cards I've made ready for the PanPastel Challenge she says she is going to nick 'em ( the PanPastels!) and have a go herself!
Fantastic Card from Val

Finally... I would like you to see the lovely cards that Val, one of my Workshop 'Students' who attended Workshop 1 'Braying for beginners' made during the holidays.

Well.... Val is no longer a beginner as far as I am concerned these cards are smashing!

Well done Val.

Last night I held another Workshop 'Alcohol Inks and Acetate'

On my next post I'll be showing you how my 'students' got on!

Love this one Val
Great fun

Thanks for popping by today and for the truly lovely comments you leave me .... comment make a big difference to a 'blogger' !

See you soon
Another beauty from Val
