Sweet Poppy Wreath Stencil on Black Velvet.

Me again...I'm on a roll with this White Glossy Paste and the Wreath Stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've used some Black Velvet type material as a background, that my crafty friend Chris Hearn kindly gave to me.
I plonked on a few little gems and that's it .... job done!

I've received some lovely comments from you, my blogging pals, over the past few posts... thank you so much. I really value them all and I'm so sorry I'm encouraging some of you (Sarn!) to spend more money!
Here you go again then !

The stamps are from Tim Holtz and I coloured the Seam Binding 'ribbon' with Distress Stains.
That's about it ... another project tomorrow... will it be a Tag?  Might be!

Sweet Poppy Stencils with White Glossy Paste and PanPastels.

Yo ho bloggers... how do you like this Tag?
A fabulous Sweet Poppy Stencil Wreath on a PanPastle background. The colours of the Pans I've used are Violet and Dark Shade Turquoise.

I applied a dimensional medium called White Glossy Paste also from Sweet Poppy Stencils through  the main wreath image and once it was dry I plonked on a few Pearls to highlight the berries!

Two stamps here, one is a very old texture stamp that I love ... sorry, no name on it and the sentiment stamp is a firm favourite from Sheena Douglass.
Please pop back tomorrow for more Sweet Poppy Stencils with the Christmas theme!
Thanks for looking today. Very much appreciated.
Pop over to see Sarn's blog and enter her Rudolph Day Challenge...... I have!

Coventry Workshop ... One Stamp.... so many colours!

Morning bloggers!
I'm visiting some of my family in Coventry at the moment
on 'Stop the kids killing each other duties'

I hosted a small workshop yesterday and had a truly wonderful day.
This is one card we all loved creating!
The ladies at my Kent based workshops also made this card a couple of weeks ago and you can see all the details about it here.

So many stunning colours.

Such a good day with super talented company.
Pity the time went so fast!
We made other cards as well, in fact I kept them busy all day!

CAS card using Designs by Ryn Stamp.

Hey ho bloggers... Just a quick post tonight. I'm getting all my crafty stuff ready for a Crop at the Allhallows village hall tomorrow with some crafty mates! Got some new stuff to play with, stamps and embossing folders.
My card tonight is clean and simple, using a very pretty stamp called The Celtic Star 2 from Designs by Ryn
White Linen card and Versafine inks. The sentiment says 'hope your day is glorious' a stamp by Hero Arts... just in case you were confused!
See you soon ... thanks for looking at my blog today.

Designs by Ryn Stamps and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

Hello bloggers, just a quick post today.
Centura Pearl card using the white, reverse side, as I normally do for Distress inks work, inserted into a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and embossed in my eBosser.
Rub a white wax crayon over 'random' parts of the embossed image. Try to cover just the raised areas but don't worry if other bits get the 'wax treatment' too!
Apply various colours of Distress inks then dry with a heat gun.
Buff the image with kitchen towel, to remove some of the ink from the areas that were covered with the crayon.
The stamps I've used are from Designs by Ryn Water Droplets 2 and the Koi Carp.

I painted the Koi Carp with distress stains.
Thank you for looking at my blog today
Happy crafting

July 2013 Workshop Sample #4 ... Hero Arts Stamp, White Embossing Powder and Distress inks.

Afternoon little bloggers.
I was planning to post this card tomorrow but I'm fast running out of time and will be too busy in the morning.
So ... here is my last and favourite sample project, for my Workshop on Saturday.
A large Hero Arts Stamp ( S5471 Large Flower Patten) stamped with Versamark ink, heat embossed with white detail Embossing Powder then coloured with Distress inks, Scattered Straw, Seedless Preserves and a touch of Dusty concord... plus a green but can't remember which one!

Quick to do but I did have trouble getting an 'even' image with the stamp until I removed it from the wooden block and attached it to my Fiskars Stamp Press.

Some white tulle and a butterfly ... job done.
The stamp was a bit expensive but I love it and will be using it often.
I hope my ladies at the workshop will enjoy making this card.
Thank you for looking at my blog today.
See you soon.
Have a good weekend

July 2013 Workshop Sample #3 .. Tim Holtz Texture Fade.

Yo ho bloggers!
Workshop Sample number 3
Back tomorrow with the last ( my favourite) one.
I'll update this post with more details early next week.

Update: Swipe your Distress Ink pads directly over one side of the inside of your Embossing Folder, then lightly mist with some water.
Place your card stock (I used the reverse white side, of some Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion) into your folder and run through your Big Shot, Cuttlebug or other machine of choice.
Remove your card carefully and dry with a heat gun.
Don't forget to wash your folder!

I used Gilding Wax to highlight some areas and distressed the edges of my project with more distress inks.
Thank you for popping by my blog today.
