Designs By Ryn Stamps and Distress Stains

Yo ho bloggers... third post of the day!
This is a large project, 9" x 9" I had great fun making it with the Celtic Star Set of stamps that I received, yesterday, from Designs By Ryn
I'm a member of her Design team, along with Shirley and Miranda. They are super talented ladies who have amazing blogs.
All the papers, card and large embellishments used on this project have been coloured with Distress Stains ( Faded Jeans, Scattered Straw, Dusty Concord, and Bundled Sage) and then stamped with the Celtic Star Images.
Got to buy a huge card blank now, to mount it on!

Thanks for looking again today
Not long until the weekend ... so have a good one .

PanPastels, with PaperArtsy and Dylusions Stamps...# Halloween Tag.

Morning all, I'm just about to make myself all comfy in front of the TV, because the Indian F1 Grand Prix will be starting soon. I've walked the dogs as hubby has had to go to work .... and now, after a brush and 'breakfast' they are having a snooze!
Glossy Accents on the Spiders
My DT sample is a Tag today, for the PanPastel UK Challenge, such fun to make. The PanPastels are so easy to blend together... they go on like silk! .... all sort of smooth! Our challenge this week is Halloween  (how did you guess?)
So come on, join in and you could win a trial pack of the Pans from our Sponsor.
Text is written in BOOPEE font.

After getting the background sorted, I stamped the Tag with a Tree stamp from PaperArtsy. The other images are from the Dylusions Range of  Stamps.

The text was printed from my PC and I had a bit of a dabble with my new (and I love it!) white ink, Uni Posca Pen, around the edge.
I hope you enjoy your Sunday... see you soon and many thanks for the very kind comments and emails :))))

Splodge A Mask and Lavinia Stamps go Spooky!

Morning all... This is my DT sample for the SplodgeAway Blog
The background border of my card was made using a Splodge-A-Mask called Oriental Bamboo, available from SplodgeAway.com

I stuck the Mask down onto some white card stock with Lo Tac tape and using a small pallet knife, applied some Glossy White Stencil Dimensions Paste.

If you use this paste please ensure you wash it off your Mask at soon as you can because it starts to harden pretty quickly.

I left it overnight just to be on the safe side, that also gave me time to decide how to layout the rest of my design.

All the images are from Lavinia Stamps. I heat embossed the Fairy Lanterns but not the Fairy Castle and scattered a few Quickutz Spiders for fun! They have Rangers Black Enamel on their backs, bit like Glossy Accents.
I added some Pewter Liquid Pearls here and there and matted the finished result onto a 8'' x 8'' black card-stock base … that's it....job done.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Splodge-A-Mask, Distress Stains and Dylusions Stamps.

Yo ho Bloggers, the three Bookmarks shown here were easy to make and great fun too!
I used lo tac tape to secure the Square Edged Lattice Mask, that is available to buy from SplodgeAway onto some watercolour paper and splodged all over with various colours of Distress Stains through the Mask … fabulous effect!
After removing the Mask and drying my work with a heat gun, I 'sliced' the colourful result into three bookmark shapes.
Then I stamped over the top of them using a few Dylusions leaf images with Archival Black Ink and painted them with the Distress Stains.
My SplodgeAway Mat made a handy and convenient paint palette.
Finally, I stamped more of the leaves onto white card, cut a few out and stuck them on top of some of the coloured leaves, using foam pads, to add 'interest' and a bit of dimension!
I layered all three bookmarks onto more white card, added some Bakers Twine plus a Quickutz die-cut for the top of the tag.... job done!
So... there we are … my take on the SplodgeAway blogspot  theme today “ Autumn Glory ”

I am entering my bookmarks into the Visible Image Challenge  Inspired By Autumn.

Visible Image sell some wonderful stamps here, on their website.
Thanks for popping by today.

Splodge- A- Mask and a Clarity Snowflake Stamp

Hi ya... a quick post today as I'm going out soon.

This card features one of the masks from the Splodge-A-Mask Range. 'Shiver' is one of the words in the  Icicle Words Set and is available on the Create and Craft TV Web Site.

I stuck the mask down onto my card stock with low tack masking tape so that it wouldn't move, then I used some Iridescent Paste and a pallet knife and applied the paste over the Mask.

Being careful not to 'over work' the paste, I lifted off the tape and was very pleased with this result.
Drying time is few hours but please ensure you wash your mask straight after 'lift off' or you will ruin it with the paste residue.
A couple of scored lines, some Clarity Stamp Snowflakes, plus a few gems.
Then it's the final matting and layering onto some coloured card stock..  all done!

Thanks for popping by my blog today .
Take care.
Back soon
