My daughter Jane, has a birthday tomorrow. She was born at 11.30 pm 1966, New Year Eve's after 30 hours in labour, I wasn't too happy! World Cup year too .. it was all going on! But some stuff was slower than others!
I have sent this card to her with all my love x

Hubby has bought a directors chair and is practising shouting 'ACTION'!
He's scaring the dogs .........  and the ferrets!  
Mmmmm.... I think he's getting a bit carried away but as the video camera is his... I'm sayin nuffink!

Creative Chemistry 102 - Day 1... Part 3

Another Tag to share with you today from the Creative Chemistry 102 class with Tim Holtz.

This lesson is the Distress Paints 'Eroded Metal' Technique. I'm really enjoying this class. 

Get me.... I've nearly finished Day 1 !

I've used two dies for the bottles, Alterations Dies, Apothecary Bottles and Mini Apothecary Bottles.

 

 

I covered them in Versamark ink and UTEE then heated them with a heat gun (did all this three times in total)  then popped them into my freezer for a few minutes before bending them so the UTEE cracked...good fun!

Designs by Ryn and Tim Holtz stamps ... on a Clock!

Hi ho Bloggers and followers.
In a rush today with lots to do, both crafting and prep for Christmas. I'm sure you know the feeling!
So.... here is a clock with a Distress inks and water splattered background, a Tim Holtz Umbrella Man Stamp  ( love him... and the stamp!) plus the beautiful Rising Bubbles Stamp from Designs by Ryn.
I went along to a Karen Clare Workshop to learn how to make the clocks.
Had a fab time. Karen will be holding more classes in 2014.See you there then! 
Must dash ... I'll be posting some Sweet Poppy Stencils samples tomorrow! Hope you are finding time to craft... you know you NEED to... it lowers the blood pressure!

A Tag featuring the FAMOUS!

 Water Droplet Stamp

The design of this stamp is amazingly clever.

It looks so REAL! 

Distress Inks background. 

A Tim Holtz Stencil, Shattered Glass 

laid over the top of the background

then sponged with 'Aged Mahogany' DI

( I think it looks like a Spiders web !) 

Finally, the super Raindrops stamped 

over top with some black Versafine ink.

A few dots to the droplets with a white gel pen.

Job done!

Creative Chemistry 102 - Day 1... Part 2

 

Another Tag to share with you today from the Creative Chemistry 102 class with Tim Holtz. 

This lesson is the 'Altered Surfaces' Technique.

As you can see, I've again featured the Alteration Die 'Tattered Poinsettia' cut using some Wendy Vecchi 'Clearly for Art' modelling film along with 'Frosted Film' from the Tim Holtz range of products 

The Alteration Dies 'Pediments' are back too!

Creative Chemistry 102 ... Day 1 - Part 1.

I'm not feeling 'Tickety-boo' today but really enjoyed starting my Creative Chemistry102 journey with Tim Holtz. 

This Tag has a Distress Paints Marbled Background and the Alterations Die cut Pediments are Coloured Crackle on Grunge Paper.
Wendy Vecchi products 'Clearly for Art' and her  signature Archival colour inks for the 'Tattered Poinsettia' along with some frosted film.. love all this stuff!

Sneezing every five minutes but loved getting messy and looking forwad to more of Tim's lessons soon!
So... Part two of Day one as soon as I can!
