PanPastels, Lavinia Mermaid and Ryn's Water Droplet Stamp.

Morning all.
What a super day. Sunshine and F1 Racing with a Lewis and Jensen lockout at the front of the grid!

We're planning to spend a couple of hours visiting an RSPB country fair type thingy this morning then it's home and crafting all the way while I look at all the rich bods swanning around the F1 pit lanes looking gorgeous and pretending they haven't noticed the cameras .... and that's just the blokes!

My PanPastel Challenge DT sample Tag today covers this weeks theme "By The Sea".

Please have a go and enter. You can use any medium you like and we would love to see some of your work. There is a prize of a super trial pack of PanPastels from our Sponsor if you win.
Lavinia Mermaid Stamp
Various Blue hues here from the PanPastel range. In fact I found my "blue" Sponges had so much product still on them from an earlier project that I didn't need to get the Pans out at all !
I keep my sponges in colour coded zipped plastic bags ... Sad or wot! So my colours here are all mixed up shades of blue.

The Water Droplet Stamp is from the DesignsbyRyn range. A delicious stamp!

I plonked on splodges of glue here and there around the edges and added some 'Bedazzles' seed beads. A few white gel pen dots to highlight  the droplets ... rock n roll .. all done!
Water Droplet Stamp.... lush!
BTW... I have a PanPastel tutorial  "Simple blending" link in my Pages (look in the tabs at the top of my blog) and Lynn made her FIRST PanPastle card using my tutorial ... I'm so proud of her... it's a right stunner! Lynn designs for Clarity Stamps and her work is just beautiful ... here's another link  I have to give you as well  to a right  little beauty she made using a Clarity stamp !

I have some more news ! Can't tell you everything yet, but if you watch Create and Craft TV next week (dates later) you might get a glimpse of a card or two I've made for another DT team I've  joined... Five design teams now.... busy, busy, busy and lovin it all!

Mmmmmm  .....  maybe my  Andy Warhol fifteen minutes of fame.
I say maybe, cos they might not be shown there at all !

Take care and thanks for looking today xx

Circle Cluster Set Stamp by Ryn...and some Sequins

Morning all, F1 racing again today so that means... table in front of the telly with my crafty stuff, making a mess everywhere ...... bliss!

A quick post here to show you this Tag that I've made using the Circle Cluster Set of stamps by Ryn.

I cannot tell you how clever this young lady is.
Her designs are fabulous and she is getting a well deserved, huge fan base here in the UK.
Pop over to her web shop and have a look ... I'm after the Kelp next ! Designs by Ryn, quick delivery too!
This is the lady that designed that fantastic Water Droplet Stamp!

White dots in lines, made using a roll of Glue Dots!
A Distress ink background, Scattered Straw, Antique Linen and Old Paper.
The American Seam binding stuff was coloured with Distress Stains in the same colours to match.

Before I applied the inks I ran a  roll of 'Glue Dots', aka Dawn Bibby (I love this lady, such a clever crafter) over my tag and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This gives you, when you apply your colours, a Resist Technique. Plus ... you can use up yer Glue Dots... I have millions!

Squint a bit at the picture and you can see them.
American Seam Binding ... love it!
I sprayed water over some lengths of plain American Seam Binding. Screwed it all up, coloured it with Distress Stains and dried it with a heat gun.

Finally, I layered a few of the Circles on top of other Circles and fiddled with pretty Sequins and a White Gel pen .... job done!

Thanks for dropping by today. When you get a moment please pop over to see Shirley's Blog.  Shirley also designs for Ryn and has made a superb Christmas card using Ryn's Celtic Dove Set. So, so pretty!

Thank you also for the lovely comments.

La Blanche Butterfly Stamp, Distress Inks and that bleach again!

Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog today.

Please look on the post below this one for the ' Show us your Twinchies' Challenge.

This card, made with distress inks and a lovely La Blanche Butterfly Stamp, is my DT Sample for a brand new Challenge Blog starting today, here, on the Ladybug Crafts Blog.
ANYTHING GOES is the theme. You could win a £15 voucher to spend on the Lady Bug Crafts web site!

Sam, who owns Ladybug Crafts where I purchased this stamp from, has a wide selection of crafting items at good prices and great customer service!
Pop over and have a look here, Lady Bug Crafts .

After stamping the Butterfly with Brilliance black ink onto the Distress ink back ground square, I used a very old paint brush and 'painted' parts of it with bleach. I'm pleased with the effect and it's now a favourite technique!

Thank you for looking. Have a good weekend. Please give the new Challenge Blog some support if you can  :)  The £15 voucher to spend is a good prize!
Many thanks.

Butterfly Fish and the Water Droplet Stamps by Ryn ..... plus some bleach!

Hey... some news! ... I'm back from the most super holiday on the Isle of Islay. A stunning, beautiful place. We enjoyed lots of sunshine.... always a bonus in the Scottish Highlands! We had gales as well but we won't go there!

More news... even better! Ryn, who designs the most amazing stamps, has invited me to be part of her design team.
I'm really thrilled as I adore her stamps and will join Shirley who has been designing for Ryn for a while now and has super blog here.
Both the cards I am blogging today were made using Ryn's stamps. The Butterfly Fish and Water Droplets.

Four squares of card 2" x 2" covered in Distress inks and glued onto some white linen card stock. Both images were stamped with archival black ink and then I 'highlighted' some areas of the fish with bleach. Each colour ink reacts in a different way with the bleach so you can get some stunning results. Use an old paint brush through.. not your best sable!

I made a mask of the Butterfly Fish so I could stamp over the top with the Water Droplets stamp.

Job done ......
It's good to be home ...... shame about the washing!
See you soon.. many thanks for looking today X

PanPastels, Lavinia Stamps and a bit of a 'breeze'!

Lavinia Stamps
Morning all ... my Internet connection is still a bit 'iffy' so it's a quick post again.
The PanPastel Challenge this week is Earth, Wind and Fire !  I loved the earth and fire bit... not so keen on the wind so it's a bit TIC! .....
I blended some of my PanPastels as a background and used a Nestie Circle as a template for the sun.

The halo around the sun was achieved by rubbing away some of the colour of the PanPastels with an eraser. This is a great bonus when using the Pans cos you can rub out any mistakes as well as adding features like clouds and mist!
All the stamps used here are from the Lavinia Stamps range. The words!!! are text from my PC :)

Please join in our challenge... its such fun and you can use any medium you like!  You could win some lush PanPastels to try from our sponsor, as a prize if you win!
Getting the wind up!
Thanks for looking at my blog today and a very warm welcome to some NEW followers... always a lift when I see new people kind enough to take an interest in my work. Thank you x

Back again soon with strong internet signals so I can reply to some of your comments.
Have a good bank holiday.

Distress Inks, Splodge Away Mat and Studio 490 Butterflies.

I had great fun making this card. The background is various colours of distress inks blended together with the help of a Splodge Away Mat.

This bit of kit is just amazing, it makes blending with inks and brayer work so much easier.
Studio 490 Butterfly and Leaf stamps, plus Dylusions Stamps.
When my internet connection is stronger I will be putting up a distress inks blending tutorial using the Splodge Away Mat, along with a new Brayer Tutorial using the Mat instead of tons of copy paper!  Look out for these tuts in the next two weeks.
Tim Holtz Chit-Chat words and background stamps.
Thank you so much for popping by my blog today... new Panpastel Challenge starts tomorrow so I hope I will see you again then.
Have a great weekend

Distress Inks, Sizzix / Tim Holtz Embossing Folder and Dylusions Stamps.

Hello just a short post again.  This Tag was made using Distress Inks. Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Iced Spruce and Scattered Straw. The Stamps are from the super duper Dylusions range and the EF is one from the  Sizzix / Tim Holtz range ... I'm so sorry I cannot remember the name of it. UPDATE! it is called Rays... Thanks Elaine x
I coloured the seam binding stuff with Distress Stains, using the same colours from the main Tag to match.
After putting a Tim Holtz die cut Tag into the EF and running it through my Cuttlebug. I blended the distress inks using a Splodge Away Mat and a TH blending tool, over the Tag.
I stamped the Dylusions Leaf Stamp with black archival ink onto the edge of the Tag and stamped a couple of the Mushroom images onto some white card stock. After colouring with the same distress inks and cutting them out, I attached them to the tag.

The Ticket is a Tim Holtz Stamp. I added a few white brads and some white gel pen and that's it job done.

I'm entering this tag into the Embossing Challenge on The Cupboard Trilogy Challenges.
Thanks for looking today .... two posts.... whoop, whoop!

Many thanks for the lovely comments... I will catch up with your  Blogs as soon as I can. In the meantime many, many thanks for the interest shown in my Blog.
