PanPastels,Tim Holtz Stamps and a Digi Butterfly

Yo ho fans
This is my  DT sample project for this weeks PanPastel Challenge 'Use a Digital Image'

The white linen card Tag is coloured using three colours of the PanPastels, Orange, Hansa Yellow and Diarylide Yellow.  They are so easy to apply, very smooth, almost like paint!
Please enter this week as you could win a trial pack of the pans supplied by our sponsor Your Creativity Store.

The stamps on this tag are from the Tim Holtz Range and the Digi Butterfly is a free stamp from the internet ... sorry, I am trying hard to find the site I downloaded it from ... I will update this post when I do.

I coloured the Butterflies using the same PanPastel colours and after cutting them out applied some white gel pen to the wings.

Finally, I swiped them over with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder..

Have a Super Sunday and come back soon as I will be doing another post ... The launch at last, of the *Show Us Your Twinches Challenge Blog*

I use PanPastels on some of my Twinchies Samples too!
Thanks for looking today

Papermania Bauble Decoration Stamp

Papermania Stamp.
Ho ho ho fans,
I've been having fun with Christmas again ! This card was inspired / idea nicked! from a super blogging friend Gina, who has a fantastic blog. One post was a LOTV stamped card that was just wonderful!
I know I have the stamp that Gina used for this colouring technique but I cannot find it!

Found this stamp from Papermania (PMA 9062901) called Bauble Decoration that I've had for about three years and never used.

Oooo.... I thought (as you do) this stamp will be super for this technique !
I asked Gina if I could pinch her idea and she kindly agreed.

The image is coloured with Promarkers ... it took all of ten minutes!  I posted the card on Facebook and it received a lot of interest !

Thanks Gina... now where is that LOTV stamp ... I know I have it somewhere !

PanPastels, Penny Black Stamp and a Shrink Plastic Butterfly !

Morning all , lovely bright Sunshine outside and this Summer Tag is for this weeks PanPastel Challenge Summer Time.

Blogger is playing me up  (sigh) but you can't win 'em all!

The colours I've used on this Tag from my ever growing PanPastel collection,
are Bright Yellow Green, Diarylide Yellow and Turquoise Tint .

The stamps are, for the flowers, Penny Black 3868j Portraits and a Creative Stamping grasses stamp called RN11F !

I coloured the flowers with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Pens ... BTW my RED distress pens are not red! ... sort of muddy browns. I've seen on some forums that other ladies have the same shades! I'm going to contact my supplier!

Shrink Plastic Butterfly
Please join us at this weeks PanPastel challenge ... It's great fun and you could win a fabulous trial pack of the Pans!
Short post, cos I'm  losing the will to live 'ere with blogger!

Black UTEE and Mica Powders Twinchie Tutorial.

2 inch x 2 inch Chipboard Square
Hello fans...
Still raining ! So it's crafting all the way, whoop whoop!

I am posting this quick tutorial today.  I hope you'll find it useful and have a go yourself.

I've made two Twinchies with black UTEE and Cosmic Shimmers Mica Powders

 Clarity Stamp, Leafy Swirls.

Paint a 2 inch x 2 inch square of chipboard with Black Gesso or Acrylic Paint.

Let it dry then cover it in Versamark embossing ink and black UTEE or normal EP.

Heat with a heat gun until it melts and is smooth... cover with more UTEE using more Versamark ink if  necessary.

Repeat the above procedure three times in total.

When the Twinchie is cool choose some mica powder colours.

I used three interference colours from  the Cosmic Shimmers range on each of the samples shown here.

The interference colours seem to show up really well .

Using a clean DRY brush, dab the powders generously all over the Twinchie and then put it to one side while you ink up a stamp with a Metallic Pigment ink.
I used  Brillance Silver here.

Heat the Twinchie once more until the surface melts and quicky take your inked up stamp and press it  into the soft UTEE ... Be firm but try not to let it slide!

After a few seconds remove the stamp and bingo .... job done!

Please be aware that some Pigment inks take ages to dry ... so DON'T touch!

If  the image is not deep enough or you don't like it ... apply more Versamark and more UTEE, repeat the process one more time!

Please email me if you have any question, eileen@ken-godwin.com

Now .... do us a favour... a few of us are starting , once again (don't ask!)  a Twinchie Challenge Blog

We have loads of followers which is surprising and super of them, cos there's nothing to follow yet!

Please keep an eye out for the new Challenge ... 1st July  here  Show Us your Twinchies Challenge Blog.
Thank you for popping by my blog today ... I'm off to dance in a few puddles!

Well ... what else can you do?
